The mission of the Native American Advocacy Program, which strives to maintain a healthy organization, is to assist Native Americans with disabilities and Native American Youth by promoting a healthy lifestyle, providing prevention, education, training, advocacy, support, independent living skills, and referrals.
 

 

 

     Sloliciya Hocoka promotes education, awareness, and prevention about alcohol, drug, and violence abuse and currently offers services on the Rosebud and Yankton Sioux Reservations.  Activities include:

  • Prime for Life program (Alcohol/Drug education curriculum)
  • Parenting Training (Love & Logic, Common sense)
  • Information and Referral
  • Life Skills curriculum for elementary and high schools (no cost to schools)
  • Youth Group Activities (especially culturally specific activities)
  • Native American life skills curriculum
  • Leadership Camp
